Once again I have the opportunity to participate of an exhibition created by Ateliê Oriente, a gallery and cultural hub for photography in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They curated the group exhibition RUA bringing 40 artists to the Paraty em Foco international photography festival that will take place from 11 to 15th of September, 2024.

The exhibition is a collaboration of @atelieoriente and curator Joaquim Paiva, and will be part of the Paraty em Foco official program. The exhibit will be outdoors, occupying Praça da Matriz, where various activities will be taking place during the photo festival, which celebrates 20 years of existence.

The Festival takes place at a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the city of Paraty, with it’s historic center one of the best-preserved coastal towns of Brazil.

FESTFoto POA - Porto Alegre International Photography Festival 2024

I am so grateful for the careful attention to adapt my work RIO/MINE for this installation at Fundação Iberê Camargo @fundacaoibere

The opening of the Porto Alegre International Photography Festival 2024 @festfotopoa took place on August 17 (Saturday), at 2 pm, in the atrium of @fundacaoibere . On display, the ten finalists of the international competition Fotograma Livre and the special exhibition “A Enchente”, with the projection of images of professionals who covered the climate tragedy taking place since May 2024 in Rio Grande do Sul.

Thank you to the entire @festfotopoa and @fundacaoibere team for the commitment to this festival in such a crucial moment in the state of Rio Grande do Sul during the climate tragedy it has been facing.

12 FESTIVAL DE FOTOGRAFIA DE TIRADENTES 2023

Minas Gerais, Brasil.

I was one of 30 artists selected for the group exhibition SONHAR FUTURO by the gallery @atelieoriente. The exhibition traveled to occupy the gardens of the bustling Vila @fotoempauta, epicenter of the 12th Festival de Fotografia de Tiradentes from March 15 to 19, 2023 in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

In addition to the exhibition, Ateliê Oriente, a gallery and cultural hub for photography in Rio de Janeiro will occupy the coolest bar-restaurant-dance floor-cultural center-garden in the city: Plano B located in the Historic Center of Tiradentes where, there will be screenings, exhibitions, book launches, debates and a party.

ExHibition Traços do Singular

Being part of this exhibition is like going home. I am so happy to announce my project MINE_IRA is part of Festival de Fotografia de Tiradentes in Brazil. Showing this work at this space so carefully created for photography in my own home state of Minas Gerais is very meaningful to me.

The curatorial team was composed of Anna Karina Bartolomeu, Gabriela Sá e Madu Dorella. They selected 42 photographers to be part of the exhibition Traços do Singular from over of 649 submissions. The Festival lasts 4 days in which several exhibitions, lectures and book releases take over the Tiradentes, one of the historical cities of my home state.

De 16 a 20 de março de 2022 estarei em Tiradentes, MG. Uma das fotos da minha série MINE_IRA estará na exposição Traços do singular durante o Festival de Tiradentes. Não vou poder estar presente mas para os mineiros amigos, vai o convite!

A exposição Traços do Singular é resultado da convocatória aberta ao público em 2020 cujo tema foi a construção de identidades. Esta exposição foi uma curadoria de Anna Karina [@annakarinacb], Gabriela Sá [@dsagabriela] e Madu Dorella [@madudorella].

I am excited to announce my project MINE_IRA will be part of the Photography Festival of Tiradentes in Brazil. After having this project awarded at Latin American Fotografia 8 and featured in four online publications including Der Greif and Urbanautica, I am excited to have this work being shown in my own country.
